Reports To: General Manager
Salary: 65K to 75K
Summary
The Fuel Manager is responsible for the overall administrative operations, which includes oversight of logistics, dispatch, drivers and service administration. The Fuel Manager must effectively and efficiently manage the technical productivity, and promote high quality customer satisfaction while building relationships and ensuring the integration of strategic plans with company operations.

Job Duties
- Coordinate the logistics of inbound & outbound fuel trucks
- Communicate and work with TKG's customers, suppliers, truckers, and transportation providers
- Monitor fuel storage tank levels
- Notify fuel supplier of fuel levels
- Unloading fuel from trucks and loading fuel into the appropriate hopper
- Perform fuel handling
- Be familiar with fuel suppliers remote monitoring systems
- Communicate estimated arrival times with First Nation communities of inbound fuel trucks and product type
- Ensure all safety protocols are in place and implemented
- Establishes the overall implementation of the internal fuel operations.
- Implement processes and procedures to optimize performance
- Monitor operational performance against goals to ensure that progress is being made, and that corrective action is taken if necessary
- Meet regularly with leads; facilitate resolution of issues/problems between suppliers, truckers and/or management
- Preparation and monitoring of the department
- Handle Customer enquiries and complaints which are escalated from the communities
- Analyze the Customer's concern and present options to solve their issue
- Update work orders with appropriate information to provide information more quickly and easily to the truckers
- Measure and monitor key customer service areas
- Examines reports to determine the operational activities of the company and ensure optimum performance.
- Maintains accurate operational logs on mobile equipment, as required
- Cleans mobile and fuel yard equipment as required
- Operating and maintaining fuel handling equipment such as pumps, hose, valves and air compressors
- Maintaining a safe work environment by using personal protective equipment, participate in safety training, follow safety procedures and adhering to all applicable SDSs
- Recording data such as pressures, temperatures and flows
- Maintaining neat and accurate records, both written and electronic
- Completing preventative and corrective maintenance items
- Must follow proper event notification and communication protocols to management
- All other duties or responsibilities as assigned
Requirements
- TSSA Site Operator Certification
- A thorough knowledge of logistics.
- Effective leadership skills, with a strong focus on operations and business processes.
- Able to identify key issues; creatively and strategically overcome internal challenges or obstacles.
- A clear and solid understanding of personnel policies, practices, and procedures and other operational issues faced by the organization.
- Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
- High level of integrity, confidentially, and accountability.
- Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills.
- A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including conflict resolution, and people management skills.
Working Conditions
- 12-16 hour days
- Ability to attend and conduct meetings.
- Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
- Overtime as required
- On-Call as required
- Irregular hours as needed to support reliable operation of the facility
- Irregular hours needed to support winter road fuel haul operations
